Petition to Fix the Moon

The King Crab smashed it. The sandpipers got the pieces back, beak first, at considerable personal risk. Then the paperwork started.

A hand drops a ballot into a red box: Moon, unticked; Meh, ticked
Exhibit B: the last referendum.

Whereas the King Crab smashed the moon to ruin the tides and drown every sandpiper on the coast;

Whereas the sea now comes and goes as it pleases and takes any bird it touches;

Whereas the fragments have been recovered from brick, bombs and steel by a flock that does not fly;

Whereas the moon has in fact been fixed, and is unfortunately down here;

Now, therefore, we the undersigned petition the Department to put it back up there. Properly, this time.

This is how it will read in the credits.

The Department of Lunar Affairs is fictional. The petition is real, and so is the game: Sandpipers, coming to Steam, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
